Mtn Biking in AK

I fell in love with Alaska all over again today. I have 10 top reasons why:
Reason One: Mtn bike ride through Johnson Pass:  a 23 mile multi use trail through the Chugach National Forest

Reason Two: I was reminded today of the terrain and backcountry that we can access, in the wilderness of AK, in all seasons. We can hike, bike, ski or run over incredible mtn passes, ridges and peaks- some right out our back door... today was a refreshing reminder of the power of outdoor play in AK!

Reason Three: The people in AK know how to get out of doors and play. They get on skis, running shoes, boots or bikes and go and some really GO! How lucky to have friends who end up being good for your health b/c all they want to do is play out of doors!
and the other 7 reasons for falling in love with AK all over again today:
The Turn Again Armpit for food on the way home.
Midnight sun: time doesn't matter on long rides.
AK Wildflowers
AK Microbrews
My new 29er mtn bike (bought in AK)
My AK Summer has just begun!
AK Winter is next!

Thanks Gretchen, Sarah, Ben, and Jeff for the day of work and play in the wild lands of AK!
