Timeline of a ski

cold start skinning up in gray

noticing features created by last storm...glide crack=bad!

looking south- love this view

On the top for our first run, notice...NO sun yet!

Notice the outline of non motorized mountains shadowing onto the motorized side...

Here comes the sun...

Kind of like fingerprints, no two sets of turns are alike.

Happy for second run in the sun!

We headed to Turnagain on another cold day and were pleasantly surprised with what we found. It was well used but the un-tracked snow was delightful and light thanks to the chilly temps.

It is fascinating how the day starts cold and gray, or almost black and white, and then by 1:30 the sun peeks over Corn Biscuit and color enters the horizon...grays turn to blues and colors appear both physically and emotionally. The sun gives us all another kick of energy especially when it is only at the top. Another reason to climb with intention... powder and sun!
