We stayed in a wonderful Inn and had great advice for local day hikes and eateries. It was a new thing for me to prepare for snakes and to carry a snake stick, not bear spray. Being from bear country, I still found myself YO-YOING at every big sage bush and cottonwood tree.
My sister just chuckled.
Not sure yo-yo's do anything for rattlers...
But we had our sticks and headed out for the day….
Again, dry and hot and gorgeous rolling hills.
The other highlight of today is that our Innkeepers own a 13ft scamp and I was able to bond with it. We pick up our 13ft Scamp in 16 days! It felt like a good fit.
Off to hike in Stanley Idaho tomorrow on our way to the big city of Boise!
