Appreciation for Change

From Maine to Hawaii and all places in between, we all celebrate appreciation for something. Here in Alaska we learn to celebrate seasonal changes. The past few months we have embraced the darkness, in order to celebrate the light. 

I recall a wonderful quote shared with me in high school by a friends' father. He said, it is important to remember that

"The sun sets at the end of every day, but manages to rise again every morning!"

So at this time of year, let's celebrate both the setting and the rising of the sun, the returning of the light and the seasonal energies that will prevail.
