Life is all about the PROCESS!

We have had a tough (understatement) winter this year in Alaska. But like all seasons here in the 49th state, activities prevail and people get out. It may be in running shoes with screws in them, on bikes with studded tires, or on airplanes to warm places, but locals are getting out.

Despite the  lack of snow,  tomorrow many women will be getting out. The Annual SKI FOR WOMEN is tomorrow. This race  raises funds for local non-profit organizations that help stop the cycle of domestic abuse against women and children. Second to the cause this race supports, there is an intense focus on costumes. It is a DRESSY affair!
                                                           I love dressing up!
A moment of appreciation came today while reflecting back on the preparation for this event.  I was able to spend this past week creatively communicating, brainstorming and making costumes for tomorrow's race with three great women!

We met for coffee this morning and brought our scraps, fabrics, supplies and ideas. It was a great morning! The final product is fun and we will not know the extent of the costume fun 'til the race tomorrow, but the process was the joy!
Take a PEEK at the start of THE JOLLY JELLIES!

Here are some pics from the race. A gorgeous day and good times had by all!
