Biking in Burke Vermont

Skip and I decided to spend a little time exploring what we have heard  called "The Whistler of New England" for mtn biking known as The Kingdom Trails .
We got off the plane at 7am in Boston and were riding by 3pm here in Burke Vt. The trails are so much fun, we have either forgotten about jet lag, or are too tired to let it effect us. We have hit the trails both days and hope to get out for an evening ride after a much needed noon time siesta.
We are staying with Holly at her B and B right here in town, and we will return. Her company, her baked goods and  her lab are cozier than cozy! :)

The trails are in great shape...boardwalks, banked turns, creative placement and endless options. It really is so fun to explore another towns single track. We are both on 29ers- bigger bikes than what we have in Anchorage and have enjoyed the experience...hmmm...
Enjoy the pics and the next batch may be from an island in Maine...:)

warm warm warm weather

Really fun boardwalks!

I just love the age of things back east! The building that is, not the husband

After a 8 hrs of flying, 3 hrs of driving and 3 hrs of riding ... We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza and beer on the bridge and a swim! Ah swimming in rivers! I miss that!

Day two brought us over to Burke Mtn ski area...

Impressive trail design and very challenging at times.

Now home for a late lunch, nap and blog. We hope to get out tonight and then live music at The cafe downtown for dinner...
