Skiing in May! YAY!

May 1st weekend arrived with a great hockey tournament, but no championship game. Saturdays game was the end-gear was to be hung to dry for the last time. A bit of mixed emotions ran through my blood. Skip and I awoke to a surprising amount of sun Sunday morning and got the deck chairs out and quickly decided over coffee on the deck, that the snow in the hills needed some tracks...we rallied and thank goodness we did because Flat Stanley needed one more adventure (this is Flat #2) before being sent back to my friend Jen's 5th grade classroom in New Jersey!

Flat Stanley is psyched for some spring corn skiing
Unfortunately, the corn was not there yet, we had cream cheese and some other condiment like descriptions, but no corn yet.

Mark doing the Utah turns

Always a treat to drive 10 mins. and hike or ski or both...:)
Flat Stanley and Jenna hitting snow again after a little "berry smooshing tundra walking."
Flat Stanley enjoying the view as we awaited the sun that seemed to hide on our hike up (hence no corn yet) So we decided to have a little fun with the camera...

A Kate and William moment?

Flat Stanley had a wonderful day and it gave him a taste of skiing in the winter, hiking in the summer and all the in between! Good luck back in Jersey!
