Chugach Front Range - The treasure hunt is on...

At this time of year priorities shift a little. Safety and fun are still high on the list, but deep powder has been removed and sun has taken it's place.

We skin up in the sun and tend to find the good snow in the north facing slopes which at times means in the shade.

As Aunnie shows us here, spring skiing in Alaska is delightful because you are in the sun and have warm temps, and yet experience a sense of reward when you surprisingly find a secret stash of snow here or there, that is delightful to ski.

Skip, Liz and Mark after run number one...content.

Oh what do we have here?
Like our labs tend to say when they come to the neighborhood pee spot, "time to leave our mark- better make it good!"

I think we did- this location was a first time find and we will return for sure!
