The earth - moves - under the shed....

With school starting in a few days we decided to tackle the long awaited task of "re-supporting the shed." We have watched as each freeze thaw tilts it a little more forward and down in the front.

Our friend Mark brought over his hydaulic jack and Skip and I realized we had a lot to learn about moving large buildings. As he pulled out his tools and got the look of a kid in a candy store, he told us "this is what people do in Fairbanks!"

The tree to the right was what was pushing this structure off it's supports.

And it didn't help that the sheds supports were what skip is holding above , rotting stumps barely secure in the ground.

It still had a lean, but it was looking stronger.

Back to home Depot we go for 12 more pavers and 7 more Piers and Footers. This thing was going to be bomber!

Jupe decided to do what she does best and grab what she is not to have and run from us!

They ended up putting 2-3 piers on all four 4x4's that crossed under the shed.

It's DONE and it looks great! though in this picture it looks crooked, that is the photographers fault. Now for the lattice work to go back up and hide the ugly supports. Thanks Mark! We could not have done this with out you!
