Day two in Denver

We awoke to another beautiful day and decided to get our exercise first thing in the morning. We drove by the tournament fields to take a peak and then went for a run in a neighboring wilderness reservoir called Rocky Mountain Arsenal which used to be used by Dept of Defense to build toxic stuff and then they turned it over to US Fish and Wildlife Service. They are doing their best to make it wild again .

It was hot with little shade, but interesting wildlife. Family of Raccoons (pic below in the trees), Hawks, Prairie Dogs, Deer and lots of birds.

We then went downtown after grabbing breakfast. We decided to walk the shops and venture to the river. It was a long hot day and we were ready to take a nap afterward, but the city was nice. It was a city to us, for sure.
We ended our day with dinner. We had hoped to have a big pre-game pasta meal, but the only Italian restaurant near by was Olive Garden, so we opted not and went for Yummy Mexican and came back to eat desert at the hotel and blog this day...
