A Day in Boulder

We are in Colorado (Denver) for Skip's Ultimate Frisbee tournament. He claims he is making one final round at Nationals-It is the grand masters, (40 and over tournament))The training has been fun and has paid off except of course we live at sea level and we now will be at Approx. 5500' above sea level and in 90 degree weather for the tourney.

We arrived safe and sound after a long day of standbys. Our hotel is cozy and the weather is warm, dry and delightful.

Today we spent the day exploring Boulder...a fun, groovy, hippie, outdoorsy, college town in the west.
Here are some pics from the day.

Drive in to Boulder in morning traffic-heading toward the mountains

We went right to Chautauqua Historical Park to hike up towards the Flat Irons. Beautiful flowers and views.

We even stopped for a little morning yoga session on the trail. :Warrior Two

a little bouldering for Liz

Looks like Andrew Goldsworthy visited here...

Skip found his home from 17 years ago when he lived in Boulder.

Creek running through town. Colorado Creek I think

We ended a day of hiking in the park, shopping the historical district and exploring the old town by visiting a local Brewery for some live music. The band was Rick Rack and was lots of fun. The guy had a homemade guitar that interested Skip.

We will explore Downtown Denver tomorrow and then tournament begins on Saturday. Stay tuned for more...
