Hatcher's Pass Got snow!!!

So we ventured north for the 1 foot of fresh snow. The new conditions were unstable and we saw lots of visual signs and natural slides etc. There is a big slide pictured below that was set by a skier on the ridge, no one caught or injured. We chose routes on mellow less than 35 degree angled slopes and had fun learning lots while playing it safe in unstable snow pack conditions.

The sun was INCREDIBLE! This is the time of year in Alaska you feel the energy in the city change, smiles are seen more often, energies are overflowing and the enthusiasm to get out and play is plenty. We had a blast and drove many a mile this weekend in order to get two wonderfully rewarding, safe and beautiful days of skiing in...

It was a blast to play in the back country with the president of the Friends of CNFAIC
