| View of Hualalai and the lava formations from the top down. We hiked to Makalawena (the choicest beach on the island) and had beautiful views of early morning Whales frolicking up and down the shore. The lava was fascinating with its colors and shapes and formations. |

| Relaxation is often what you wake up to everyday and what puts you to bed. This view with sun up and sun down from our lanai was just delightful! Pure silence each day and night, except for the roosters, dogs, cats and many birds, this natural lullaby worked for us! |

| The boat pulled up an hour or so after our arrival and the film of sunscreen alone in the water was comparable to BP oil spill (s) ! We just were glad we had the bay to ourselves early. |

| The hiking on the shores reminded us of walks on the Maine rocks, except this was lava and lots of it. |

| Just three days in and I am reminded how important the relationship between work and vacations are... Never too late in life to realize that WE NEED BOTH. |
