Trying something new and different...Jan 23rd

The new and different for me was skiing on what is considered the motorized side in Turnagain Pass, and/or "Sunny Side." On Jan 23rd we chose it for the sun but also because there were record cars at the Magnum/Corn Biscuit and Sunburst parking lot...20 plus cars parked double wide! We tend to want to avoid traffic jams on the skin tracks up, so we went where the sun was and people were not and were pleasantly surprised! Snow machines stayed north of us and we had the slopes to ourselves.

Another plus of skiing the sunny side is you get incredible views of the slopes that we usually ski across the road...Magnum, Corn Biscuit and Bertha in view here (left to right)...how lucky we are to have this area to ski-

It really was a delightful day with beautiful snow and 100% sun!
