Ski Weekend

Feb 6, 2010
Powder Day at the Resort (Alyeska) with Aunnie and Karen. We opted to not go back country on this Saturday due to risky conditions left behind from new storm that came through last night. It was fun day- glad we went.

Sunday Feb. 7th
We opted to go to Turnagain and play in the low angle new snow as the conditions had considerable with pockets of moderate after the storm had come through Friday and Saturday. As we went to our go-to spot on Magnum, we had so many mixed feelings as we watched the 12 skiers above, who were next door on Sunburst ski above each other, at the same time as each other and skinned up in close proximity. All I could say was we were glad that was not us over there.
Our party of four stayed low angle and low numbers and we had a good day on the lower slopes of Magnum.

Steve Cleary, one of the most positive ski partners to ski with. Here he is after his first run on his new fat skis. I think he liked them!

Cindy with her black tea, cream and sugar. It makes me rethink my Bengal Spice herbal tea at ridge top.

Skip, just wanting to ski. Put the camera away... he is thinking!
