We were just commenting on how many people we know will be at the airport taking red-eye flights this Christmas eve and Christmas day. It seems to be The Alaskan way. We have had a joy-filled few days opening wonderful family gifts of photos, crafts, winter gear and useful items. Izzy came away with some big hit dog toys like the "Maine Lobsta" that made under water bubble sounds. It provided oodles of human entertainment.
We have taken our pre-flight nap and now are wide awake for a good evening of travel. Exhausted we will be, but it is worth it to arrive in sun and warmth.
Here are a pictures of gift opening, which Izzy seems to think every gift is for her...I guess she gets that from my side of the family...:)
Happy Happy Merry Merry to all. As I type, all East Coasters are snug in their beds and Santa is making his rounds and filling stockings...What fun to be flying across country thinking of all the family gatherings going on and hoping for safety and joy for all mankind.
Off to fly the friendly skies in Red-Eye Fashion!
